Mediocrity VS Excellence

First , lets talk about mediocrity, What is it? It is ordinariness as a consequence of being average and not outstanding. Mediocrity is somehow the state of being contented in what would pass or what is just average. Being a mediocre is I think somehow stupid because your limiting your capacities or what you could do, It is I think the state of just being lazy to surpass what you can do or explore what you can give.

Mediocrity vs Excellence? I think we know who the winner is. Excellence of course .Being excellent in what you do is far more greater than being a mediocre. You do not just give the best, but you give it your all.Well, Let's talk about being excellent and mediocre in a student's life. An example of mediocrity in a student. Your teachers asks you to make project about blah blah blah, Your classmates made a fine work and you just made a project that would somehow meet with the requirements instead of giving it your all or making innovations.

 As a student, I should aim for excellence because in that way I could grow more and learn more. It's like having a goal. We should not be contented with the average, We should be more creative and be more playful. Specially that I am an MMA student. We should not be afraid to add more of me in my works.Being excellent is like being outstanding, you stand up when everyone is sitting, you raise your hand when no one is representing. We should be more expressive and more competitive to achieve excellency! forget mediocrity...

From letters to e-mails, telephones to cellphones, from simple to advanced. what's next?

When I watched this video, I had goosebumps. Based on what I understand from the video, the author gives predictions on what might happen or what will we become in this rapid growth of  technology. It seems that we are evolving in  a way that is somehow scary for me. Imagine living virtually where all you need are ready and made with a lie. 

In the video, there is a part where we could go to places and events and experience it whether it was in the past or future, well all that was made with a lie, wouldn't it be better if you were actually the one who experienced it? wouldn't it be great if all your memories and experiences were made by you? The one that strike me in that video is the part where trading of memories , Don't you think that would be wrong? whats the point having your own life if you could live and choose to be someone else? All I'm trying to say is that I am not satisfied with that I saw and I would rather choose a simple life than live in a virtual reality.

Our first group project for our prelim exam was to make a a video about the evolution of communication, and it was presented last July 15, 2011 and aside from our video, there was one video that really caught my attention. And that group was Daxies Arvie Surio, Raemon Wagan,and Malu Belen 's work.

There video really had me laughing, because aside from the facts and trivia they give, they also valued the importance of entertainment. If you watch their video, you can really see how much they had fun doing it, You can see their bond and how they share and recognized each others specialty and talents. There video was very humorous and amazing. They are very resourceful when it comes to re-enacting the past mode of communication specially the pigeon post part.


 When you watch their video, you can really feel how each group member participates because I was there when they were making the video. Each member had their own moment in their video presentation. Even though the other groups had more effects etc. I choose there video because they are really worth watching, specially if you know them personally. 

Effect of Traffic on my Life.

 

Traffic VS Student

Everyday students go through this.The traffic caused by many factors and comes with many effects specially on students like me.It is very frustrating to deal with this every time you go to school because of the hassle it gives. It is always the reason of students why their late ,sometimes its true sometimes it not.

For me,I don't take traffic as a big deal on me being late because at the first place you wouldn't be late if you woke up early. Being late is not only the effect of traffic on a students life,there's head ache because of the pollution and the overpopulated number of passengers in the jeepney , there's the unwanted smell of smoke that stays on your uniform and also there's this waste of time that is very valuable in terms of using it to study,have fun etc. 

But my advice to the students like me that deal with this everyday, NEVER MIND it, that just how it goes, Don't let it ruin your day,besides, your not the only one who tackles with traffic everyday.

Graffiti PARRTEEEEEEY!!!

Phew! A tiring,fun,refreshing night it was.I can't remember the date but I sure can remember the feeling.LOL! 

The day started with me being late in class because of ******.and after lunch I started practicing with the Lyceum Concert Singers because a choir in lyceum which I have become a member of. LCS had a production number and we were preparing because we haven't perfected the last part of the production.Then after practicing,we had a run on the gym and there I saw my co-spartan dancers practicing there number.After the run, freshmen student were coming in the gym so of course it was kinda embarrassing that they would see me in the stage singing.


Then at around 6:00 I think,The party was officialy started.First to perform was us, We performed the national anthem and a prayer.After was the very captivating performance of LSDT, then the eye opening skit of LTE.After that was my debut performance in Lyceum, I sang "Closer" by Ne-yo and it was very embrassing because we each had a solo part and I was out of tone.But after the performance our conductor said it was a good run.

Then as time passed by,there was a band that kept on singing upbeat songs and as a mamber of cultural artist.we should encourage the freshmen to dance and enjoy the night.I had fun because there were lots of dancing ang funny moments. It was also a memorable night because of the t-shirts that has messages from friend and other school mates.
